Nanchuan One-Day Tour: Medicinal Plant & Jinfo Mountain Adventure

At 8:00 AM, your private car and guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to your first destination — Nanchuan Medicinal Plant Research Institute.

Guided by a professional English-speaking guide, you will visit the Medicinal Plant Science Popularization Hall to learn about over 200 medicinal plants through interactive screens, explore the planting garden to observe species such as Coptis chinensis and Gastrodia elata, and understand why Nanchuan is known as the “Hometown of Scrophularia ningpoensis.” During certain seasons, you can also enjoy light picking of mint or honeysuckle.

After the visit, you will have 1.5 hours for your lunch (at your own expense), with nearby restaurants offering specialties such as spicy waxed pork rib hot pot with bamboo shoots and tofu pudding rice.

Next, the private car will take you to Jinfo Mountain.

As a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, Jinfo Mountain requires self-purchased transfer bus and round-trip cable car tickets (not included). Key experiences include hiking the cliff plank road for panoramic canyon views, visiting the landmark “Golden Turtle Facing the Sun”, and—if lucky—spotting wildlife such as Temminck's tragopan or rhesus monkeys.

At around 5:00 PM, gather at the designated meeting point and return to your hotel by private car.
