- Clothing: Wear warm layers (even in summer, high-altitude areas are cool) and comfortable walking shoes. Carry a raincoat (umbrellas are inconvenient on trails).
- Food Note: Sichuan food is spicy. Ask for “less spicy” (shao la) at restaurants if you can’t tolerate chili.
